How to Increase the Timeouts of the OAF pages in Oracle apps. OAF Page Timeout Profile Option

We often gets an Issue of OAF web pages Timeouts in Oracle application. We are not working for few seconds in the application then automatically ,these OAF web pages got inactive and Timeout. Some time this creates an Issue when we are in the middle of the some thing in the OAF page. As per the Oracle Metalink note Doc ID 2142867.1 , We can control this thing in the OAF pages , to set some Profiles in the Oracle application. Here below I will share the Oracle recommended steps as per the Notes mentioned above to Increase the Timeouts of the OAF pages in Oracle apps. I will recommend to note this thing to perform in the Production directly. First do this in Test and confirm from Oracle Support too.

 

 

Steps to Increase the Timeouts of the OAF pages in Oracle apps

Step1:- First Set the Profile below (OAF Page Timeout Profile Option )

ICX: Session Timeout to 2700

After this Test the changes , If the OAF Pages Timeout Increased then it greats otherwise you need to perform these below steps.

Step2:- Please perform these steps first in Test Instance  and Confirm with Oracle Support too.

As per the Oracle Metalink Note Doc ID 2142867.1

1. Change the setting ICX: Session Timeout to 2700 seconds or 2700000 milliseconds in AutoConfig using (adconfig):

2. Change the value from 1800 to 2700 seconds for all these entries in the plan.xml files after taking a backup:
