How to run diagnostic Report for BIP Report in Oracle Cloud : Steps to Generate diagnostic report for Oracle cloud Reports

In this post , We will discuss about the steps to generate the Diagnostic reports for BIP reports in Oracle cloud. Diagnostic report helps to debugging the report issues and also helps to do the performance tuning in reports sql query. If ESS requests are going in to error and we want to know the reason for that , then we should know the method to generate the diagnostic report for that. This helps to bug fixes and for analysis too. Here below I will share the step to run/generate the diagnostic report BIP reports in oracle cloud.

 

 

Step to Generate diagnostic report for Oracle cloud Reports

Step1:- Go to Reports and Analytics and in the custom folder where you have stored/created your custom BIP report.

 

 

Step2:- Click on the report for that you want to generate the diagnostic report as above.

Step3:- Click on More Option as below and Select the schedule option

 

 

 

Step4:-Under Diagnostic Tab as  highlighted below.

 

Select the checkboxes to which level you want to generate the Diagnostic report.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Step5:- Once you have enable the diagnostic option at report level , Then next step you need to run the ESS request for that BIP report and once the report will be completed we need to download the Diagnostic file to debug the issue.
