How to Read MT940 format in Oracle Fusion
Hi friends , we are going to discuss about the MT940 format in Oracle Fusion. We will share the detail information and our experiences which will help to read and understand the Bank MT940 bank statements in Oracle Fusion. When we working with banks to build the Bank integrations between the Oracle Fusion application and bank server we should have clarity about the MT940 bank statement format because most of the bank uses MT940 format to deliver the bank statements for bank auto reconciliation. In this post , I will try to share the detail understanding about the MT940 format bank statements how we can make the changes in the bank statement if needed.
Steps to Read the MT940 format in Oracle Fusion
:25:0056789 – In this line ‘0056789’ is the Bank Account Number related to this MT940 file. This Same bank account number should
be create in our Oracle Fusion System before uploading this bank statement in application.
:28C:491212377/1 – In this line ‘491212377/1’ is the Bank Statement Number for account ‘0056789’.
:60F:C210509INR0- In this line , ‘210509’ is the Statement date ‘9-May-2021’.
:61:2105060506CR1000,NTRF32341//0004874129 – In this line , ‘1000’ is the amount receipt under this Bank Account ‘0056789’.’
32341’ is the Transaction Reference no.
:86:/PT/DE/EI/UTR 2104442340000007 TRF TO RAVI 32341 – In this line , this is the description for this transaction of ‘1000’.
:61:2105060506DR5000,NTRF32342//0004874129 – This is the second line of the MT940 bank statement.’ 2000’ is the amount paid
under this Bank Account ‘0056789’.’ 32342’ is the Transaction Reference no. for this second line.
:62F:C210509INR0,

These both lines represent the end of the MT940 statement. ‘210509’ is the Statement end date ‘9-May-2021’.MT940 FILE SCREENSHOT
