Role for reports and analytics in oracle fusion : BIP Reports Role in Oracle Cloud
Oracle fusion has given the two important reporting tools to design the reports in the system. These Two reporting tools are BIP and OTBI Reports. With the help of these two reports tools we can design and create new reports in the Oracle Fusion application. OTBI is a very user friendly tool which does not require any much technical expertise but in opposite BIP is a pure technical tool in oracle cloud which helps to design more complex reports and the reports layouts.. To design reports in oracle fusion , We should have the right access in the application. We need to have desired roles in the oracle cloud to build the OTBI and BIP report. Oracle fusion has given the reports and analytics icon to go the reports tool inside the cloud application. Under reports and analytics we can create both OTBI and BIP reports.
To access the reports and analytics we should the required roles with the user account. Here below I will share the list of the important BIP reports roles which helps to design and create the BIP reports.
3 Important Role for reports and analytics in oracle fusion
1. BI Administrator Role :-
This is the major role of BI reports in Oracle cloud. This role have all the privileges for the BI reports as compared to other BI roles. User having this kind of role can create , design , update , run and delete the reports in Oracle Cloud. BI Administrator Role have all the complete rights for the BI reports and reports and analytics in oracle fusion
2. BI Platform Author Role :-
This is the quite same role like BI Administrator Role. This role also have all the privileges to create , design , update , run and delete the reports in Oracle Cloud.
3. BI Consumer Role :-
This role have the least privileges in the BI role matrix in Oracle Cloud. User having this kind of Role can only run the BI reports in reports and analytics in oracle fusion . This role only specific for running report. User having this role cannot create new reports and even cannot do any changes in the BIP report too.
