How to Delete GL Journals in Oracle Fusion.
Oracle has provided the option to cancel and delete the GL journal in Oracle Fusion. We can cancel and delete the GL journals but the journals should not be posted. Once the GL journals will post then we cannot cancel or delete it. After posting we have only one option to reverse the journals. In this post I will show you how we can cancel and delete the GL journals in Oracle fusion before posting.
Navigate to the Manage Journals window. Journals -> Manage Journals
Step1:-
Log into Oracle Fusion Application With Appropriate Job Role to Process General Ledger Journals
Navigator -> General Accounting -> Journal
Step2:- Navigate to the Manage Journals window. Journals -> Manage Journals in the Task Pane.
Step3:-
Search for the journal batch or journal entry . Select Mandatory Parameter ( * ) Like Starts with, JE Batch, Accounting Period, Batch Status. Enter as many criteria known to narrow down the list of journal batches returned. Click on Search
Step4:-
Select the Batch to Edit. Journal batch hyperlink: Click on the batch to be reviewed to highlight the batch. The Edit Journal window will appear
Step5:-
Batch Actions -> Delete: To delete a journal batch, verify that the status of the batch is not “Posted.”
Step6:-
Delete the Journal within the Batch. Journal Actions -> Delete: To delete a journal batch, verify that the status of the batch is not “Posted”. Navigate to the Batch Actions button and select delete.
Select Yes To Delete.
