Result Based Search in OAF

Result Based Search is the Feature of the OAF Search page Region Style. OAF has given the Standard Region like ' Query' and 'Advanced Search Region' by which we can create the Search page in OAF automatically. We don't need to create the search page in OAF manually. With these Region styles we can create the Search pages through wizard as well as also create the search Criteria automatically. Result Based Search is one of the property of search Region 'Query' with the help of this property, system creates the search panel , user personalizable views panel, simple search and advanced search panel can be enabled automatically. With this property , we don't need to create the Search criteria region manually but the system handle automatically create this region during run time. Even using this Result Based Search property , we also don't need to map the Search Criteria items with the Search page.

 

When We Create the region of style 'Query' then we also need to set the Properties of the this Query Region under the Property Inspector window as below.

 

We can select the resultsBasedSearch feature under the Construction Mode Field of the Query Region Style under Property Inspector Window.

 

Region style : Query
Construction Mode=resultsBasedSearch.
IncludeSimplePanel=True
IncludeViewsPanel=True
 IncludeAdvancedPanel=True.

 

Right Click on "MainRN".Click New=>Click RegionUsingWizard.
