In this post , We will be discuss about What is mixed sales order in oracle apps. Mixed Sales Order is more related to the Sale Order Transaction Type. We know that , When we creates the Sale Order we need to attach the Sale Order Transaction Type. This Transaction Type helps to Determine the Flow of the Sale order in oracle apps. Mixed is also the one of the Category of the sale order Transaction Type. Here below I will share the What is mixed sales order in oracle apps.

 

 

 

 

When we define the Transaction Type in Oracle Apps , We need to Define the Category of the Transaction Type. There are three kind of Order category in oracle apps.

 

1.Order.

2.Return.

3.Mixed.

 

'Order' Order Category :- When you defining the Transaction Type with Order Category then all the lines of the sale order can have Order flow. Order Flow means the standard flow , Order will be pick released , then system to transact move order and the Qty will be transferred to FGI to Transferred. Then system will create the shipment and the Oracle AR invoice will be created against this shipment.

 

Return Order Category :- When you Defining the Transaction Type with Return Category then all the lines of the sale order can have return flow. Return Order Flow means , FG Item will be back from Customer due to some reasons so in this case system does not do Pick release. In this Flow we will do the receiving again this Sales order in Purchase Receipts Function.

 

Mixed sales order

Mixed Order Category:- When you define the Order Transaction Type with Mixed Order Category then sale order lines can have lines with two types , Like We can select Order Transaction Type for some of the Lines and Order Transaction Types for some of the Sale Order Lines in an Single Sale Order.

 

So the Best thing in the Mixed Sales Order is that , Under Single Sales Order we can use two different -2 flows , Order and Return. Other Wise in other Sales Orders , We are Limited to use only the Single Transaction type in a sales order.
