HDL Tutorial : How to Create Employee Bank accounts and Assign to Employees through HDL in Oracle Cloud

In this post , We will be try to Create Employee Bank Accounts and then assign them to Employees. These Bank accounts require for EFT payments against employee expenses. The payment for the Employee Expense reports credits/comes in these bank accounts. To create bank accounts , We first needs to Create the Account Bank & its branches first in Oracle cloud. I have already shared the Post , regarding how to create Bank & Branches in Oracle cloud.

To Create Employee Bank Accounts and then Assign to Employees , we will use HDL tool. HDL has given the two metadata to create Bank Accounts and then assign to Employees. We will put both these in single HDL file 'ExternalBankAccount.dat'.

Step by Step to Create Employee Bank accounts and Assign to Employees through HDL in Oracle Cloud

Step1:- We needs to find the Metadata to create the Employee Bank accounts and then assign to Employees.

We should have Employee number to assign the bank accounts to that employee in Oracle cloud.

Step2:- These below two metadata we need to create and assign the bank accounts to employee.

First Metadata

Here below I am sharing the sample data too for this First MetaData. We need to have Bank & Branch name to create the Bank accounts.

METADATA|ExternalBankAccount|BankName|BankBranchName|CountryCode|AccountNumber|CurrencyCode
MERGE|ExternalBankAccount|CITIBANK|CITI4555555|IN|5678765521677544|INR

Second MetaData

Here below I am sharing the sample data for this Second MetaData. We need to have Bank & Branch name and Employee Number too to assign the Bank accounts to Employee.

METADATA|ExternalBankAccountOwner|BankName|BankBranchName|CountryCode|AccountNumber|CurrencyCode|PersonNumber|PrimaryFlag
MERGE|ExternalBankAccountOwner|CITIBANK|CITI4555555|IN|5678765521677544|INR|67825922|Y

Then after that We need to put both these two Metadata in the Single HDL file named 'ExternalBankAccount.dat'.

METADATA|ExternalBankAccount|BankName|BankBranchName|CountryCode|AccountNumber|CurrencyCode
MERGE|ExternalBankAccount|CITIBANK|CITI4555555|IN|5678765521677544|INR

METADATA|ExternalBankAccountOwner|BankName|BankBranchName|CountryCode|AccountNumber|CurrencyCode|PersonNumber|PrimaryFlag
MERGE|ExternalBankAccountOwner|CITIBANK|CITI4555555|IN|5678765521677544|INR|67825922|Y

Here below is the sample file having both these two metadata's.

Step 6:- Once we have prepared the Zip files then we need to import these file in Oracle cloud with the help of HDL tool as below. Once the zip file have been prepared. Then We need to go Data Exchange
