In this post , we will be discuss about the moac in oracle fusion. moac full form is multi org access control. One important thing about MOAC in oracle fusion is , there is no MOAC sructure in Oracle fusion. MOAC is the feature provided by oracle in oracle r12 but in oracle fusion , we have some thing different to control the access but this is not moac but we can say , this is more similar like MOAC. So here below , we will be discuss more about moac in oracle fusion or we can say we will discuss the Oracle fusion feature more similar like moac.

Is MOAC available in oracle fusion ?

MOAC is the feature provided by oracle in oracle r12. MOAC meaning is Multi Org Access Control. But in Oracle fusion , we dont have the feature like MOAC but , Oracle fusion has provided some different process/structure which is more similar like the MOAC.

First reason , Why MOAC is not in Oracle Fusion , Because as like Oracle apps , There is responsibility concept in Oracle fusion. In Oracle fusion , We have the roles concept. In Oracle fusion , we do provided user access through roles but in oracle apps , we do provided the access through responsibilities.  In oracle fusion , We do create roles as per our access requirement  and then attach the business unit with these roles for implementing access controll as per BU so this is more similar like MOAC.

Difference between MOAC in Oracle fusion and in Oracle apps.

In oracle apps , We have responsibility but in oracle fusion , we have roles. In oracle apps , if we have to provide the user to access more then 1 Operating Unit , then we do crate the security profile , Under this security profile , We do attach these Operating Units and in the end we do attach that security profile with the responsibility , so that user under single responsibility , can access more then multiple operating unit.

In Oracle Fusion  , We don't have the responsibilities and the profiles concept so in oracle fusion , as per the needs , we do create the roles and roles provide the access in the oracle fusion application. So in the same role , if we have to access the multiple Business Units , then we need to attach these two business units with that role , so we can work on these two business unit under same role. We need to follow these below steps to provide Business Unit access to the Oracle Fusion roles

Step1:-

Go to Setup and Maintenance and then Search the ‘Manage Data Access for Users’ as below.
