In this post , We will be discuss about Difference between internal and external bank in Oracle apps. We will describe the functioning difference between internal and external banks in oracle apps.
There are two type of bank accounts in r12 and both have the different purpose of use in r12. We do use both types of bank accounts in r12. In Oracle apps , We do create two types of bank accounts. Internal Banks and External Banks. Internal banks are those banks , Which we creates in the Oracle applications to do the payments for suppliers and receive the payment from the customers.  Internal bank account query in r12 stores all about Bank , Branch information's as well as Bank Accounts too. 2 Types of Bank in R12

1.Internal Bank.
2.External Bank.

Internal Bank  :-

Internal Bank in oracle apps , is that bank which is the organization or Business Unit Internal Bank. IT means , Internal Bank Account used by Organization/Business Unit for the Supplier Invoices Payments and to Receive the customer Receipts for the Customer Invoices. Internal Bank  specific to the BU only and work for the Internal Purpose.

External Bank :- 

External Bank Account in oracle apps , is that bank which belongs to Supplier or Customers. It means , External Bank Account used by Supplier and Customer or we can say these are the bank accounts for Supplier and Customers . We do maintain the Supplier and Customer bank , to make the EFT payments to Suppliers and Credit Amounts for Customers. External Bank specific to the Supplier and Customers and work for the External Purpose.
