How to create the pair date Parameters in Oracle Fusion BIP Reports

In this post , We are going to discuss about the pair data parameters in oracle fusion BIP reports. We usually create the From Date and To Date parameters as an pair date parameters in oracle fusion BIP reports. If we have create the From Date and To Date parameters as an pair date parameters then we cannot enter the before date in To date parameter as compared to the date entered in From Date. Pair date Parameters in Oracle Fusion BIP Reports uses when we want to limit the user input value in the second parameters based on the value entered in the first parameter's by the user. The second parameter value should be logical as compare to first parameter

Example :- We have the BIP report and we have create the 'From Date' and 'To Date' parameter's. Now my requirement is , If user will select the value '01-May-2020' in the From Date Parameter , then in 'To Date' Parameter , user cannot select/enter the value less/before '01-May-2020'. 'To Date' parameter value should be '01-May-2020' or greater than '01-May-2020'.

Steps to create the pair date Parameters in Oracle Fusion BIP Reports

Step 1:- Here below is the report , in which we have two parameters 'p_from_date' and 'p_to_date'.

We want that , user cannot enter the before date in 'p_to_date' parameter as compared to the date entered in 'p_from_date' .

Step2 :-

Here below in 'p_to_date; parameters , we need to select that parameter first and then go below to the properties of the parameters.

In properties , There is a Date From Field , We need to enter the syntax '{$p_from_date$) to limit the date entered in this parameter based on the date selected in the first 'p_from_date parameter.

Syntax : {$ParamterName$}
