Hi friends, we are going to discuss about the read only form in oracle apps. We will share the detail steps to create the read only form in oracle apps. In we want to provide the read only access to some users or oracle responsibility in oracle apps , then we can create the read only form and then provide this read only form access to user and oracle responsibility. We can create the read only form of any standard oracle form. In read only form , application users can only view and query the data but they cannot create new records or not modify or delete any data in the form. Read only forms helps to provide only the view only access to user in oracle apps. This is very useful feature if we don't want to provide the complete access to the form in oracle apps. User having this form access can only read or view the data. We will share the detail steps in which we will create the read only form from oracle standard purchase order form in oracle apps. Detail Steps to Create Read only form in oracle apps

Here below is the complete information to create the Read only form in oracle apps.

Step1: - For Example in Our Case, We want to make the Oracle Purchasing Form a read only for some users.

Go to that Form as below.

Go to Help => About Oracle Applications

Step 2) Now We need to go to the Application>Menu and query for this Standard form (PO_POXPOEPO) and find out the form function associate with enter purchase order form.

Step 3) Now we need to Create a new form function name for this same Form Name (PO_POXPOEPO) having logically similar name as that of original function and in the form, tab make QUERY_ONLY=YES

This New Form Function Name we have given ‘PO_POXPOEPO_V’.
