Hi friends, we are going to discuss about the Cancel Work relationship in Oracle Fusion HCM. Cancel work relationship is the new feature in oracle fusion hcm. In this post , I will try to explain what is the cancel work relationship and how we can cancel the work relationship from application as well from backend using the HDL tool. Work relationship is the relation between the Employee and the legal employer. When we create the employee , we need to create the work relationship for the employee to associate the employee with legal employer. We can active and Inactive the work relationship in oracle fusion HCM but cancel work relationship is something different and have some different outcomes. What is Cancel work relationship in HCM ?

When we cancel the work relationship for the employee then system automatically delete the work relationship , Employment term , Employe assignment created under that work relationship. It means using cancel work relationship we can delete the employee work relation with Legal employer and all the related details. In Oracle Fusion HCM , for Employee we do create work relationship. Under Work relationship we have Employment terms and then assignments so cancel the work relationship automatically delete all the child components itself with work relationship.

Steps to Cancel the Work relationship in Oracle Fusion HCM Through HDL

To cancel a work relationship in Oracle Fusion HCM, use Worker.dat file with a DELETE instruction for the work relationship and set the CancelWorkRelationshipFlag attribute to Y.

 

 

This example deletes the specified work relationship and all its child records.

Steps to Cancel the Employee work relationship in Oracle Fusion HCM from Application

Here below is the steps to cancel the work relationship from fusion application.

 

Step1:-Go to Person Management and search the Employee for which you want to cancel the work relationship in oracle fusion hcm.

 

 

 

You can search the Employee with Name or Person Number

Step2:- In the Search Results , Go to Actions Button as below.

Step3:- In Action ==> Go to Personal and Employment ==> Manage Employment

Step4:- 

Once Click on the Manage Employment ==> Then Employee record will be open. Click on the Edit button right side of the Employment Page. Then select the Update option as highlighted below.

Step5:- Now under Update option as below. In the Action field select the 'Cancel Work Relationship' option to cancel the work relationship for the Employee record.
