Excel template failed with error : "Invalid Format Requested: xlsx": Issue in the Bursting Report for Excel Template in Oracle Cloud

In this post , we will be discuss about one Issue while using bursting for BIP reports excel template in Oracle Cloud. In this issue , System  not able to execute the bursting for Excel Template and system shows error Invalid Format Requested: xlsx. I also encountered this type of issue while I have enabled the bursting for excel template in oracle cloud BIP reports.

 

 

Solution for Excel template failed with error : "Invalid Format Requested: xlsx".

 

In this issue , We need to make changes in the Bursting Query in the Oracle Cloud BIP reports. We need to go to the Bursting part in the BIP report Data Model.

 

 

In the Query we need to make changes in the Bursting Query Column 'OUTPUT_FORMAT' , For excel Template , We should not use the OUTPUT_FORMAT as 'xlsx'. We need to use OUTPUT_FORMAT as 'Excel' in the Bursting Query like below.
