We will be discuss about the request group in oracle apps.
Request is the feature in oracle apps , which helps to provide the concurrent
request access in oracle apps. I will try to share the complete information
about request in oracle apps. We do access our concurrent program in oracle
apps with the help of Request group. Request group helps to maintain the access
control for reports in oracle apps. Here below is the complete detail
explanation about request group in oracle apps.
What is Request Group in Oracle Apps
Request group in oracle apps, helps to provide and maintain
the access control for concurrent requests. Without request group, we cannot
access any report or concurrent request, or request set in oracle apps. We know
that, we do access the concurrent programs as a concurrent request in oracle
apps but to get the access on concurrent requests, We need to attach the
concurrent requests with Request group and then in the end need to attach the
request group with Oracle responsibility.
Steps to create the Request Group in Oracle apps.
Step1:- For Example , we only want to give the access of Trial
Balance report for One Responsibility so for this , I am creating this below
Request Group.
Security è Responsibility è Request
Enter the name of the Request Group ‘ XX_TRIAL_REPORT’
Select the application ‘General Ledger’
In Requests , select the Type ‘Program’ and Select the
Concurrent Program ‘Trial Balance’. If you want to provide some other reports
access then you need to create a new line in the requests and select the
another concurrent program.
Save the details and the Request Group has been created.
Step2:- In this step , We will attach the Newly created
request group in above step to Oracle responsibility.
Go To Security è Responsibility è Define.
Step 4:- As highlighted below , We have select the request
group under the responsibility to provide the access to run the ‘Trial Balance’
report to this Responsibility.
Further , We will attach or assign this responsibility to
User.
