Oracle Fusion role based access control
In this post , we will be discuss about Oracle Fusion role based access control. In Oracle fusion , we do provide the access control for each roles assigned to the application user. In oracle fusion role based access control , we do mentioned the Security Value like 'Business Unit' , 'Ledger' ,' FA Book' for which we want to control the access for user roles. We do provide the value in each Security Value for each user assigned roles to control the data access for that role. It helps to ensure that for these user roles , which 'Business Unit' , 'Ledger' ,' FA Book' we want to show for this user. So under that role user can only access and enter the date for that 'Business Unit' , 'Ledger' and ' FA Book'. Here below is the detail about Oracle Fusion role based access control.

Example of Oracle Fusion role based access control
For Example , We have user 'Test User' and we have assigned the Role 'Procurement Manager'. Now we have two Business Units BU1 and BU2. We want to provide the DATA access to user 'Test User' for Business Unit BU1 only. For this We will go to task 'Manage Data Access for Users' and then click on the '+' icon and Select the user 'Test User' and Role 'Procurement Manager' and Security Value 'Business Unit' and 'Security Context Value' is 'BU1'.
Steps to Implement Oracle Fusion role based access control
Step1:- In Oracle fusion , We have the roles concept which we do assign to the users to provide the application access. Here below i will share the steps about, how we can implement the data roles/security in these roles which helps to maintain the access control in oracle fusion.
Step2:-
Go to Setup and Maintenance and then Search the ‘Manage Data Access for Users’ as below.

Click on the ‘+’ icon to create the Data Access for Application User.
As below Select the User Name and Role and Security Type like ‘Business Unit’ & ‘Ledger’ many more.
As per the roles attached to User , we do provide the Data roles , means that for all user Roles , we do mentioned which Business Unit's Data we are providing for this User to access.
