Lesson 11: Procure To Pay(P2P) Cycle: Security Configurations for P2P Cycle in Oracle Fusion

Hi friends , so this is the eleventh lesson of our Procure To Pay(P2P) configurations learning series in Oracle Fusion. In Lesson 11, we will Discuss and perform the Security Configurations for P2P Cycle in Oracle Fusion. In this post , We will perform the Security Configurations for P2P Cycle in Oracle Fusion.

Security Configurations

Perform the below Security Configurations setups 

• Add the Roles for your BU 
• Change Your Primary Job Assignment 
• Manage Procurement Agents 

Add the Roles for your BU

Step 1:- 

 Search for task Manage Business Unit Data Access for Users

Step 2:- 

In the Manage Data Access for Users UI 

select the below options 

Users without Data Access  : Select Radio Button 

Security Context   : Business Unit 

User Name    : Your User Name 

Click on Search

Step 3:- 

Make a note of the roles: 

• Enterprise Contract Administrator  
• Supplier Administrator  
• Buyer  
• Procurement Preparer  
• Product Manager  
• Cost Accountant  
• Procurement Requester  
• Procurement Manager  
• Accounts Payable Manager 
• Procurement Catalog Administrator 
• Accounts Payable Specialist 
• Accounts Payable Supervisor 

Click on Create  

Step 4:- 

Create Data Access for Users 

Username    : Your User Name   

Role     : Enterprise Contract Administrator 

Security Context   : Business Unit 

Security Context Value    : Your Business Unit 

You need to enter the User Name of your account and then assign the Roles and Desired Business Unit , for which we want to provide the access for the Procurement and the Payables module.

Step 5:- 

Repeat the above step (Step 4) for all the above listed roles (Step 2)

Click on Save and Close 

Step 6:- The setup should look like the below screen:

Step 7:- 

Click on Done 

Open the task : Manage Inventory Organization Data Access for Users 

Make sure the Security Context is set to : Inventory Organization 

Select your User Name 

Click on Search

Step 8:- 

Click on Create Icon and add below two records

Create Data Access for Users 

Username    : Your User Name   

Role     : Warehouse Manager  Security Context   : Inventory Organization 

Security Context Value : Your Inventory Org 

Click on Create Icon 

Username    : Your User Name  

 Role     : Receiving Agent 

Security Context   : Inventory Organization 

Security Context Value : Your Inventory Org 

Click on Save and Close
