How to Create Allocation Rule in Oracle Fusion
Hi friends , we re going to discuss about the allocation rules in oracle fusion. We will share the detail steps to configure the gl allocation rules in oracle fusion. Allocation rules helps to create the automate journals based on the formula which we can applied on the actual journals data to create the target journals. In allocation process , we have actual Journals Data on which we applied the calculations , Offset Account and the Target GL account for journal creation. Step by Step to Create Allocation Rule in Oracle Fusion
Step 1:- In allocation process , we have A which stands for Actual , O stands for Offset and T stands for Target journals.
In Actual fields we specify the target gl accounts from which allocation process will capture the balances.
In Offset , we define the GL account , which will be used to balance the allocation journal.
In target , We define the GL account , which will store the balances after formula calculation from actual journal.
Step 1:- Go to General Accounting role in Oracle Fusion home page.
Go to Task pan and select the create allocation rules task.

Step 2:- This is the allocation rule creation dashboard.
To to your CCA and select DB and then Rules.

Step 3:- Right click on Rule and select new.

Step 4:-
Create Allocation rule name as below and select the right CCA.

Drag and drop the formula between begin and end icon.

Select formula icon as below and you can see the Actual , Target and Offset account enter fields below.

Step 10:- Now start entering the actual fields GL account.

Step 11:- Select variable as below.
Step 12:- Click create button to create the run time parameter to enter the Period Name by user.
Step 14:- creating accounting_period parameter.
Step 15:- After creating variable , go again to formula section and go to actual account and select the variable accounting_period which we created in our last step as below.
