This is the second part of the GST configuration in Oracle Apps. In this post , we will Create GST Tax Rates , GST Tax Category and GST Party registrations.

Create the GST Tax rates for GST regime , under specific tax types like below.
Regime Code- GST
Tax Type – CGST
Tax Rate code – 9%CGST
 
Create the GST Tax rates for GST regime , under specific tax types like below.
Regime Code- GST
Tax Type – SGST
Tax Rate code – 9%SGST

GST Tax Category setup.
To avoid apply taxes one by one we will create Tax Category setups as below.
Here we are creating 18% Purchase Tax rate.
In lines , We will select 9%CGST & 9%SGST as below.

Party Registrations Setup:-
Party registrations setup is very important for the GST configuration in Oracle Application.
First Party Registration :- First Party registration is required for the GST setup. We maintains Operating Unit/Company GST number and TIN number here for the GST deduction.
Third Party Registration :- Third Party registrations is the GST registrations for our Oracle application suppliers. We maintains supplier GST details/number , TIN number in the Third Party registrations form. If we will not maintain supplier Third party registration for supplier , then GST tax will not be applicable for that supplier in Oracle application.

First create a new supplier for GST setup in Oracle Application
Create New Supplier ‘GST Supplier’
Supplier Type should be ‘ India Tax Authority’

Create a New Site Also.

Setup è Calendar è Accounting è Period

Go to India Local Payables è Define Regime





After creating supplier , we need to create First GST regime as below.

Here we will attach the GST supplier created Above and the GST calendar too.

Now we will define GST Tax Types (CGST, SGST, UGST)

Here we are creating GST tax types(CGST,SGST,UGST) as below.
Select the regime ‘GST’
Tax Type ‘CGST’ . Check the Recoverable Tax check box.

Under accounting Tab , Select the Ledger and Operating Unit for which you want to configure the GST setup.
Enter the Interim Recovery & Recovery account.
Enter the Interim Liability & Liability account. There are required for the setup.

Create the Tax types same as above for SGST & UGST.

This topic is quite Large so i will post rest of the steps in the second post. We will create GST Tax Rates , GST Tax category and Party registrations part in the Second Post.
